Video Journal – Five Days of Fall Color in the San Juan Mountains
Today, I posted a new video on my YouTube channel documenting my fall colors photography workshop in Colorado. It featured five long, cold, beautiful days chasing peak color in the San Juan Mountains, including stops in Ridgway, Silverton, Ouray, Gunnison, Mountain Village, Telluride, and many places in between. The week was jam-packed with foggy mornings, surprise moose encounters, rainbows, muddy shoes, and one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen.

The video includes behind-the-scenes clips from the workshop, scenic stock footage from the region, and the finished photos that came out of the trip. If you want a look at what these shoots actually feel like — the early alarms, the altitude, the occasional frustration, and the moments where the light finally comes together — this one captures it pretty well.
You can watch the full video below, and if you enjoy this kind of honest, real-world landscape photography content, subscribing to the channel helps a lot. More trip reports and behind-the-scenes videos are coming soon. If you're more of the reading type, check out my written blog post on the trip instead. Thanks for following along on this journey!
