River and Veil
Yosemite National Park, California
River and Veil was captured along Northside Drive after a winter storm moved through Yosemite Valley. The Merced River flowed steadily through the foreground, weaving between snow-covered rocks and leading toward Bridalveil Fall in the distance.
I was drawn to the depth in this scene. The dark current of the river contrasts with the fresh snow along its banks, while tall pines frame the waterfall beyond. A leaning tree along the right side of the frame adds character and scale, grounding the composition against the towering granite cliffs. Bridalveil Fall descends as a narrow ribbon of white, softened by mist and winter light.
This limited-edition fine art print is produced using museum-quality materials to preserve the texture of the snow, the movement in the water, and the detail in the granite walls. Each piece is personally overseen from capture through final production to ensure the print reflects the layered beauty of Yosemite in winter.
