Veiled in Winter
Yosemite National Park, California
Veiled in Winter was captured along Northside Drive after a fresh snowfall settled across Yosemite Valley. Bridalveil Fall cut a narrow white ribbon down the granite wall, framed by snow-covered pines and softened by drifting mist. Cathedral Rock rose to the right, its warm stone tones contrasting against the cool whites of winter.
What drew me to this scene was the movement. Wind pushed the falling water into a fine spray, and clouds shifted constantly around the cliffs. The snow transformed a familiar landmark into something quieter and more layered. The waterfall remained the focal point, but the surrounding granite and forest gave the composition weight and scale.
This limited-edition fine art print is produced using museum-quality materials to preserve the texture of the snow, the subtle warmth in the granite, and the detail within the waterfall. Each piece is personally overseen from capture through final production to ensure the print reflects the atmosphere of that winter morning in Yosemite Valley.
